I am sorry.

I am 53 years old. This generation of self entitled pricks who believe they know everything and have to educate us was created by ourselves, people now between their 50s and 65 years old.

We were raised by a generation that, in one way or another, suffered the effects of a World War, either directly because their countries were at war, or indirectly because they were missing some basic things, due to the war. Our parents born in difficult times and somehow they passed the anxiety they lived with to us. We were raised with that sort of mind set and fear that nothing or almost nothing is guaranteed. Always being reminded that the little we have is a lot compared to what they had in their childhood.

We didn't want the same for our children, we work hard to provide whatever they need and protected them from everything. We made them feel safe and we tried to take any problems away from them, so that they could focus on their own things and live their lives to the fullest. Enjoy their youth and prepare for their adult live.

Our kids, now between 20 and 30 years old, are telling us that we don't deserve our lives, we are destroying the planet, we have privileged life because of our skin colour we don't understand their feelings towards society and sexuality... and the list goes on.

We are racist, homophobic, sexist, fascists, dictators, whatever comes to their mind to make us feel bad with ourselves. They struggle if someone thinks differently or if they are challenged in their believes, they can't construct a logical speech and can't reason with anyone in an argument, all they do is to shoot some pre made sentences that they get from whatever group they identify with.

They don't have real struggles, all they have is too much time in their hands to worry about some nonsense, without any critical thinking, just eating from the spoon that their favourite 'religion' is feeding them with.

We created these monsters and I am responsible for my contribution to this generation of ungrateful little pricks because I created a protected environment for them, where they can grow and have time to do whatever pleases them, thinking they would put this time into good use. And what they do? They waste their lives, they don't study, don't develop themselves and believe their are entitled to whatever they demand because we raised them that way, we made them believe that they just need to worry about themselves... We did everything so that they only had to worry about themselves...

And I created this, we created this. And for my contribution I sincerely apologise.

World cup 2022

I feel like I am writing history now (smug).

Someone (somecorruptone) decided to take the Football World Cup to Qatar, a country known by their open views of the western culture. Now seems they got into trouble because Qatar is not open to the western culture, if anything they want to finish western culture and spread the Quran based laws to the Occident, but I might be wrong.

So apart from forbidding beer in stadiums and  getting FIFA in what might be a major breach of contract with Budweiser, which to be honest it's not really beer and they could argue that and keep selling this sort of refined piss, it is forbidden that the players wear a band supporting the "Alphabet Community". What else would we expect from a country that is so open that homosexual relations are  forbidden and punished by law (the same law they want to expand to western Europe).

I am not that much of a supporter of what I call the 'ideology of gay rights', as long as everyone regardless of their sexuality has the same rights as everyone else and is treated with respect. And the same applies to all people, despite colour, gender or religion (well religion still triggers something in me, mostly if involves following the Quran).

What I mean is that I don't feel the urge to come to the street and join a gay pride, but I assume that I am not interfering with someone's rights just because their sexuality. Thinking that someone can go to jail, or be executed just because they are gay is something that I can't even make sense of.

Kudus to the German team and the German Foreign Affairs Minister who sat next to the FIFA president wearing a OneLove band. And the team had a rainbow flag on their shoes. World Cup 2022 champions in my eyes.

In favour of the global warming.

 It is time the global warming starts doing some cleaning up. 

Two stupid people vandalize a Van Gogh's painting and then compare themselves to Martin Luther King, clearly they know nothing about Mr Martin Luther King, who never showed any disrespect for another human being let alone for a piece of art.

As if that is not stupid enough their lawyer argues that their action might increase the value of the painting... as if stupidity is comparable to Van Gogh's art. This is so stupid as me going to take a dump next to Mona Lisa's painting and then some one argues that I contributed to the popularity of the painting.

Apart from the fact that I don't understand what has Van Gogh to do with the global warming and I can't understand what this act tries to represent I find it disgusting that someone presumes that they can destroy some piece of art that is a major contribution for our global culture and history.

I think global warming is due to cause some really damage and hopefully halving the human population and with a bit of luck these 2 and their lawyer won't leave any descendants.

What if

I keep thinking to myself about this Greta Thunberg lady and wonder if she can be the Jesus Christ of the 21st Century.

As Jesus she claims she came to save us from ourselves and, as Jesus, she is a bit delusional.

Both went through a problematic childhood:

Greta, keeps asking her parents if we are all going to die due to climate changes, on a desperate moment, fed up with her questions, they say “Yes, we are. Just shut up”. Scared she turns into this sort of mini-activist that half of the world listens to…

Jesus kept asking Joseph who his real father is, Joseph on a desperate moment tells him “God knows!! Just shut up”. Jesus takes it as God being his father and, well you know the rest...

I just keep praying to Jesus’ father that this Greta lady doesn’t start a new religion, can you imagine the humanity going through the “Dark ages” of some sort of environmentalist religious thing?

 

Update in 2022, after 2 long years dealing with something called COVID. Greta got of the radar (uuffff) and we don't see that Nazi little face shouting random orders on TV for almost a year now. May Big God in the Sky keep it that way and hopefully the girl went back to school.

My Sexuality

This can be a rather controversial post as it's a delicate topic which may cause offence to some. Not because of what I have to say but because of some situations described which cause me distress and emotional pain.

I discovered my sexuality and decided to expose it and come public about it.

While most of my friends accepted it very well and gave me all the support, mainly my male friends, others started to criticise and ridicule me. My wife in fact came out very opinionated about it and expressed herself in a rather aggressive way.

I never thought I would feel the pain of being treated as an outcast and this made me grow a bit and understand the pain other minorities may feel. Being out of the mainstream is painful and it's exhausting and I understand why so many of us try to keep a low profile and in the most extreme cases, try to stay away from the so said "normal" society.

It's the questioning, the doubts that come to people's mind, the lack of understanding, the strange scenarios that people creates and most of all the jokes. It's painful to see that for some people everything is a joke, everything is solved with a stupid laugh and a pat in back along with the words "forget about it". Having to answer to all of these questions and doubts without snapping is exasperating. It's almost like having the obligation to explain how the world is going to work from now on. I don't know how it's going to be, I don't have all the answers I just know what I feel.

The purely straight white man is actually a privileged being with all their acquired rights. From a purely straight white man everything is accepted as normal and no questions asked. No straight white man needs to explain how the world is going to "work from now on", because it's going to be like it always has been, that's the norm, that's the right.

Now for a polyamorous man like myself, who feels that could give love to more than one woman, everything turns into chaos and nothing is right. Imagine coming home and telling your wife you found out you are polyamorous and want to share your feelings with another woman... imagine telling your family that form now on there will be another person sharing your table and your bed. Suddenly is like the world is about to end, that your simple act of understanding  your sexuality and wanting to express it will be the beginning of the apocalypse. It won't.

It will just be the beginning of a new life that everyone should accept.

And Now for Something Completely Different

Not sure how to start here, but seems that the fight between trans people and J.K. Rowling was extended to John Cleese.

Initially because somehow he defended J.K. Rowling and more recently because he tweeted something about not being interested in trans people and there was an outrage after his comments. Funny enough John Cleese and the Monty Python predicted all this in the movie "The Life of Brian" on a sketch at the circus when Terry Jones claims he wants to be a woman and have the right to have babies.

I am not sure how not being interested in some group is offensive, I guess John Cleese is not interested in me either and I couldn't care less, mainly because I am pretty sure I am not interesting as an individual to get his attention.

Then we come to this point where we are lectured on how to deal with the so call "transphobic" people and by "transphobic" please read "anyone who is not particularly interested in the transgender movement". "Phobia" used to mean "fear" or "repulse" of anything, which is not the case if you just don't bother with the subject. For example someone who has an unjustified fear of spiders is said to be arachnophobic. I, who don't really care about spiders and can live with them in my house, am just someone "who's not particular affected by or interested in spiders". And that's exactly where J.K. Rowling and John Cleese are, they tolerate spiders but don't give them particular importance just because they are spiders.

Do we really need to be educated on how to deal with people that is not committed to promote "transgenderism" (if the word exists)?

Do we need to be educated to deal with people with different ideas and opinions, or with different ideas and opinions than the what so called guardians of the right thinking? I think we do. We need to learn to accept and tolerate them, even if we can't understand them due to our own limitations and I strongly believe that some elements from the trans community need to be educated in this respect. Otherwise we will go back at burning books and, why not, burning witches.

Something about racism

Yes you got it, I am trying to get into a fight with the PC mob.

Racism seems to be the new buzz word, calling people racist, or labeling some comment as racist, mainly if the comment comes from the "white privileged", is the new normal. Everything is seen as racism, every white person is seen as racist...

I am not sure if I am brown enough or white enough to argument here, because black or brown people can call out if the comment is racist or not, white people must accept the "verdict" and apologise or accept being humiliated for the rest of their lives, or for the rest of the week.

So I am Portuguese living in the UK, and according to the current classification I see on the internet I might be what is called a brown person, I am not white as an English person and I am more dark than some Indian people, however I am European but I am also what the Americans call a "Latin" person because I speak a language that is exclusively derived from Latin, but also a French or an Italian are "Latin"... so here the "Latin" thing starts to cause some confusion because there are no French or Italian speaking countries in the Latin America and so the term "Latin" doesn't seem to apply to French or Italian people, but hey, even I don't know if I am a Latin...

What I have to say, as a Portuguese, slightly darker than most of the English people, but with the wrong accent, me too, am subject of racism, mostly from Asian people, mainly Pakistani. If I apply for a job with a Pakistani person and the interviewers are from Asia it is more than 70% certain that I will not get the job.

When I get a phone call from a recruiter that saw my CV on LinkedIn (but didn't pay attention to my origin) most of the times I'll never proceed for an interview after they hear my accent (but here I have to say that most people thinks I am from somewhere in the North of England, so maybe the racism is directed to someone else). And this is valid either the recruiter is British or not.

And I could go on with a list of situation in my daily life where sometimes I think I am not being treated fairly because I don't have the accent that goes with the looks, or the looks that goes with the European origin... but hey we all get the point.

We are all racists, we all make preconceptions about other people, It's how we let the fact take over and influence our appreciation for the other that matters.

Stop calling out everyone, that is different than you, a racist, stop going after some stupid political agenda just because you think you may get some benefit from it. In the end that just serves to divide the society, and the politics who maintain that agenda are the ones getting the benefit.

Just deal with it.
